Harmony site template

  • Hi
I have just started a new site and decided to use the Harmony template: https://www.respectcapital.co.uk/
Haven’t made any real changes yet.
Just starting to personalise the home page.

    I have 2 questions please:

    1)
The hero image at the top of the home page is new, but the problem exists with default img. In the block editor all looks fine, but in a browser there is part of the blue background showing from a container at the bottom. Obviously the aim is to have just the image on display. Can’t see whats causing this.

    2) The first image under the hero section is new, and same size as the default to the right. Both have a border radius of 12px. The default image is an ‘img’ but the new a ‘picture’? Probably because of Imagify? But why no border radius for the new image?

    Thanks
    Sean

  • Also seems to affect the footer element image. no gap under in the editor, but in the browser there’s a gap between the bottom of image and dotted white line.

  • Hi there,

It seems like the issue here is coming from Imagify. For some reason, it replaces all of your <img> tags with <picture> tags, which can cause issues on the site. This issue is well-known and has been experienced by other users as well.

You may want to try deactivating Imagify to see if the issue resolves.

  • Thanks, disabling ‘Display images in next-gen format on the site’ has corrected the layout.

I use Imagify on all my sites, so its a shame it won’t work here.

    Sean

  • No problem.

This has been a long-standing issue with Imagify, and they have yet to address it.
