I’m struggling with some Header Element configuration settings. Can you tell me the difference between BLOG, ALL SINGULAR, ALL ARCHIVES, and POSTS under the Element’s “Display Rules.” They seem incredibly redundant.
If I wanted to define a universal header background image for all blog posts, which Display Rule would I use?
Thanks for your help!

Hi there,
The terms are standard WP terms, it’s not theme-specific. I’ll try my best to explain those terms:
1. Blog (Blog Page or Home Page)
What it is: In WordPress, the “blog” refers to the page that lists all the posts in reverse chronological order. This page is typically your site’s main blog feed.Context: It’s a collection of your latest blog posts.
2. All Singular (Single Post/Page View)
What it is: Singular refers to individual pieces of content, like a single post, page, or custom post type. Any page that displays a single item (whether it’s a blog post, page, or custom post) falls under this category.Context: It’s used for displaying individual content (singular items).
3. All Archives (Archive Pages)
What it is: Archives in WordPress are lists or collections of posts grouped by a specific category, tag, date, author, or custom taxonomy. Archive pages are used to browse content by any of these groupings.Context: These pages display collections of content based on the taxonomy (categories, tags, etc.) or other groupings.
4. Posts (Individual Blog Posts)
What it is: Posts in WordPress refer to individual pieces of content categorized as blog entries. These are what you typically think of as “blog posts.”Context: This is an individual post that you’ve written on your blog.
Quick Summary of Templates:
Blog: Collection of all posts.
All Singular: Displays single posts, pages, or custom post types.
All Archives: Displays grouped content like categories, tags, authors, dates, or custom taxonomies.
Posts: Individual blog entries. -

Thank you so much Ying. I understand, but I don’t know how that applies to GP’s Element Display Locations. For example, I’ve tried to apply a header element to ALL SINGULAR, but it’s not showing on singular blog posts. Here’s an example:

This part is added via header element:https://app.screencast.com/WKid7XPIfjo4O
What is not showing? Can you take a screenshot of the header element?
