Hi,
I tried to follow the instructions here: https://generate.support/topic/hover-effect/ but the screencasts are not available anymore and I might be missing a stage. I have some issues:
1) For some reason the hover text appears all the time and not just on hover.
2) The background doesn’t appear on top of the image and also appears all the time and not just on hover.
3) How do I get the transparent color like in the example given?Thanks in advance!

I built this using the steps that you outlined above. However, some of the stages there are shown on a screen cast that has since been deleted. Those are the steps that I guess I am missing to make it work. I did all of the rest exactly as you described in that post.
This might be the missing piece (but it isn’t available anymore):
5. Add transition for container c at Effect > transition.

In the instructions, you need to use a background image, but in your setup, it seems like you are using an Image block. Try changing it to use a background image instead.
You could try enabling the Transition effect under the Effects settings to see if that works:
