Hello
So I have the site header disabled using elements and layout – works
I then created a site header element block – an dinserted the site logo and navigation – great
BUT how can I then style the navigation – as its now not (seemingly) using the primary navigation details within the customiser? I can do it manually but seems like I am missing something is all. As block doesn’t go into that much details with styling – I am mainly wanting the colour and style of the sub menus to changeURL is attached
Thanks

Hi Sarah,
Unfortunately, the navigation block is a WP core block that doesn’t offer many options to customize.
Is there a reason why a site header element is needed here? It looks like a pretty generic header layout that can be achieved without it.
Let me know 🙂

Thansk Leo – there is a background that spans the header/navigation – and I have not foudn a way to have a background image span all of the above without creating it individually

Hello there,
Create a Block Element – Page Hero instead for the Page Hero part. Reference: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-page-hero/
Then, to merge the Background to the Navigation, just create a Header Element, and set it to “Merge with Content”. Reference: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/header-element-overview/#site-header
That should allow you to create the design you’re going for.

OK Thanks I am sure I have done it this way before and didn’t this time for a reason – but I cannot remember why! I will give that a whirl thank you
