How can I completely reset my GP theme code?

    Hey legends,

    I want to completely reset the code on my site and I can’t uninstall WP as it’s a functional site.

    Any other strategies where I can make sure there are no additional codes other than theme’s default ones.

    Help me with that.

    Secondly, is David on leaves or gone?

    Hi there,

    If you mean to restore a fresh copy of the theme, assuming you have been editing the theme files directly, you can simply replace it by reinstalling the theme from the WordPress Theme Directory. However, ensure you create a full site backup before proceeding.

    David is currently on leave for the holiday season, and it’s uncertain when he will be available.

    You mean, first I should install any other theme, then go back to GP from WP library?

    Yes, temporarily switch to another theme, delete the existing GeneratePress theme from the site, and then install a fresh copy. After that, switch back to the GeneratePress theme.

    Again, ensure you have full backups before doing this, as it may break the site.
