Hello,
1. you can add the SVG icon HTML to the menu item label field at appearance > menus, then you will need some CSS to adjust the SVG icon size.
2. try this CSS:
li#menu-item-3335 a { background-color: orange; border-radius: 50px; line-height: 2em; box-shadow: 5px 5px 5px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2); }3. create block element – hook, set the hook name to
menu_bar_items, just like what you did for the phone/whatsapp container. -

Hello
Thanks for the reply.
1. If adding a background color to the menu item, only only do that by adding CSS code in Additional CSS of Custoimze? Can I do that directly from the generatepress template features?
2. I’m sorry that I still can not get the steps how to add SVG icons to the menu items? please explain more in demo steps?

Hi there,
Yes, the only way to add a background color to the menu item is through CSS, as there is no option to do so within the GeneratePress UI settings.
We have documentation on how to add an icon to the menu item; you can refer to it here:

It looks like there are some CSS errors present. Could you provide temporary admin login credentials so I can check the backend more closely?
