How to Center Content in New Update

  • Hello Again!

I’m having trouble centering content inside a container in the new update.

I have an image, headline, and button inside a container and want them all center justified. However, when I tell the parent container to justify items to center, nothing happens.

I’ve also tried going to the child elements individually to set them to centered, but that isn’t working either.

  • Hi there,

Can you provide the site URL of the layout you’re working on? There are different reasons why that might happen, if you can share your layout I can take a closer look and let you know what’s going on.

  • Hey Alvind,

I think we found a bug!

After opening the site up again a few hours it worked, the elements were centered properly. So we started double checking everything, we purged caches again, disabled all browser extensions, and used private windows – trying to figure out what we had been doing wrong.

Then we realized that it was working on Chrome and the original browser that we had been testing on was Mozilla Firefox, so we tested it again on the original browser.

Sure enough, any Chromium based browser, such as Brave or Edge, seems to work fine rendering the elements as centered, but any Firefox based browser, such as Water Fox does not center the elements.

I’m attaching a link to the site in the private information box, so you can guys can check it out and verify.

I’m unsure if this bug would be on your end or on the browser’s end. Let me know so I can make an official bug report.

  • Simply set the container’s text-align to center should fix the problem.
