How to copy global styles from one project to another

  • Hi team,

I suppose there is an easy way to do this, but I don’t see how to do it at the moment.

I have about 20 global styles on a local site that I would like to copy over to a new project.
I don’t want to export all the styles on the local site, because I only need 20 of them.
In “GenerateBlocks > Global Styles” I don’t see a setting to copy a single style. But I’m probably missing something.

What is the quickest way to do this?

    Thank you!

  • Hi there,

Unfortunately, there’s no option to export individual styles at the moment.

The Global Styles system is simply a custom post type. There might be a plugin that can export individual post, but I’m not aware of any that can do that.

  • Thanks for the tip, Alvind 👍

I have actually found a plugin that can export individual custom posts: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-exporter/

I have tested it and it works perfectly.

  • Glad to hear that! 🙂
