How to keep displays the same as the full image without offset or cropping?

  • Hi

I want to put an image in a web page, but I need to keep all the displays the same as the full image on desktop, mobile, and tablet, without any offset or cropping, how can I achieve this in GP or GB PRO?

The problem that exists at the moment is that the display is complete on desktop, but when it goes to mobile or tablet, it crops the edges and displays the image without the integrity of the original image.

    Thank you.

  • Hi there,

Are you using a background image? you need to make sure the container that contains the background image has the same aspect ratio of the image.

However, if your images have different aspect ratios, then it can not be done simply, so it’s better to use an image block instead of a background image.

  • Thanks for your reply.

If I use the background image, Can i modify aspect ratio on setting? If so, how can I do it in GB?

You mentioned image block, where is the image block setting?

    Thank you.

  • Image block doesn’t require any settings, it will just show the entire image.

If I use the background image, Can i modify aspect ratio on setting? If so, how can I do it in GB?

You need to modify the container’s apsact-ratio to match the image’s aspect ratio in sizing panel.

  • Could you please let me know where is “aspect-ratio” setting? Thank you.

  • Hi there,

The aspect-ratio setting can be found under the Sizing block panel in the editor.

  • Could you please send me how to set it? if my image aspect ratio is 16:9.

    Thank you.

  • Simply select the container that contains the image, go to the Sizing settings, and enter 16/9 into the Aspect Ratio field like this: https://cln.sh/w4wDbLTK

  • There is no aspect ratio option:

I have also attached the private info to you.

  • You are using v1 block, you can switch to v2 block at dashboard > generateblocks > settings.

  • It seems that I am using v2 block, there is no switch of v1 and v2 on setting of generateblocks.

You can also login to my site to check it.

If you success, please let me know the reason.

    Thank you.

  • Yes, please provide an admin login to your site in the private info field of your first post in this topic.

  • Yes, i have attached Admin access, can you see it?

  • There are mixed v2 and v1 blocks on your site.

All newly added blocks will be v2, and your existing block will stay as v1.

I would recommend using the v2 Grid block to rebuild the section.

  • Thanks for your reply.

How can i recognize Grid V1 and V2?

How can I use V2 block to build?

  • Every new GB block you add from now on is v2.

How can I use V2 block to build?

Can you make the question more specific?
