How to prevent any translation of my website?

  • philipperoussel

    Hi,

I am looking for a way to prevent any translation of my website content on the visitors’ side.

    Thanks for your help,

    Philippe

  • Hi there,

Sorry, I’m not quite sure I understand the overall issue. Could you clarify what you mean by “preventing translation”? Are you referring to an issue related to a translation plugin?

    Hi,

My intent is to have the website’s content in English (its original language) for all visitors worldwide, with no possibility for it to be automatically translated.

I am aware this depends on the visitors’ browser settings, but I would be glad to know if I can prevent automated translations.

    Thank you.

  • I’m not sure there’s a reliable way to prevent that. If the client is using a browser translation extension, there’s no way to fully block it—that behavior is controlled on the user’s end and is outside of your site’s control.

    Fair enough. Thank you.

  • You’re welcome!
