What’s the best/easiest way to use a footer from a different theme in another theme? I am using and love the “info” theme but really like the footer from the newsroom theme. I saw a post about importing that theme into a site and then exporting the footer element ( and then importing that into the current site) but I don’t see an easy to do that. All the export stuff is for the whole site, and I just want the footer? If I go to tools in WP admin it exports all elements as an example.
Any ideas… THANKS in advance!

Hi there,
It’s not possible to import a specific element/section from a site library template unfortunately.
I’ve copied the HTML content here for you so you can just paste it into the editor:

Thanks for the reply, should have added I tried that. Formatting all out of whack and looks nothing like newsroom footer putting that code in place of current footer code. I was just looking for an easy solution. May just have to dig into it piece by piece.

I just tried it in a fresh install and everything works as expected:

I have had great success copying the whole block and pasting it in new site i must say without resorting to copying the html. Other than that try this free pattern in the GB pattern library which will get you nearly there.
