I lost styles when duplicating a page

  • Hi,

I use a Duplicate plugin to duplicate entire page.

When I do that, I have all the architecture of the elements but all the specific styles have disappeared.
I have to create them one by one.

Is there something I am doing wrong?

I understand that the styles are specific to an element of a page. But when duplicating the page, I thought it will duplicate the styles too. But maybe the problem is on the duplicate plugin which does not copy the styles.

I have a workaround by adding classes and defining the styles out of the page. But in this case, it’s not WYSIWYG on the back end view.

    Thank you.

    Have a nice day,

    Bastien

  • I have found some answers:
    https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/how-to-copy-entire-page/
    https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/duplicating-cloning-a-page/

I have been able to copy easily the block from one page to another.
By using the copy all blocks, it works too.

I will try the Yoast Duplicate Post plugin. I use another one currently.

  • Glad to hear that you managed to resolve the issue 🙂
