I’d like to put 5 recent posts

I witnessed the recent post widget being created when I activated the sidebar, and I was able to see on my mobile that this widget is located underneath the posting. I also want this widget to be placed between the comments and the footer widget on my desktop, so please let me know how.

  • Hi there,

its not possible to MOVE the list on Mobile.
Instead you would need to add separate list on mobile view.

    1. go to Appearance > Elements -> Add New –> Block

    https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-hook/

    2. in the element settings set the Hook to: after_main_content
    3. set the Display Rules Location to: Entire Site

    4. now in the editor at your Post List block
4.1 with the block selected in Advanced > Additional CSS Classes add: hide-on-desktop hide-on-mobile

This will show the list where you require it on mobile.

Once done can we see your site so we can remove the sidebar list on Mobile.

  • Hello david. I think I was lacking in explanation. What I want is to use the recent post widget to place it between comments and footer wideget on both desktop and mobile, without adding a separate sidebar.

  • Hi there,

Follow David’s instructions, but do NOT do 4.1.

    Let me know 🙂
