Inconsistent Block Resizing on Zoom

  • kirstyandadrian2021

    Hi GeneratePress Support Team,

This is one of those “I am sure there is an easy answer but I can’t find it” questions.

I’m experiencing an issue with my website where some blocks resize when I zoom in and out, while others remain the same relative size. I’ve been through the settings for each block but haven’t been able to pinpoint the cause of this behavior. Specifically, the purple blocks and pictures in them resize, but the text in the blocks does not.

I would like the blocks all to remain the same relative size.

I’m looking for guidance on what specific settings or configurations might be causing this inconsistent behavior. Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you,

  • Hi there,

When you said ‘zoom in and out,’ are you referring to a scenario on a mobile device?

    Hey,

I mean when you hold control and use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out on the page. I am building the site on a laptop and I am using it as a quick test of different screen resolutions.

    Thanks

  • Hi there,

i am not sure if i see the same “concern” as i work with MacOS and its browser zoom kinda treats everything equally. So on zoom in i see the font sizes increase.

However for all browser compatibility using REM for the font size units will maintain zoom responsiveness.
But you may need to set that in the Customzer or use GenerateBlocks to build that layout as WP core blocks have some baked in CSS that we have little control over
