Hi there,
The inline background image field is more for a dynamic setup.
If you want to assign static image, go to the backgrounds panel, and you can set different background image for different devices.

Ok. My litte problem is, that an background image from the panel is then in the CSS, which is hard to lazy load and also i can`t manage them with Cloudflare Workers (Image Resizing and Preloading).

lazy load is for image blocks not background image, so yes, if you want the image to be lazy loaded, you need to use image block instead of background image.
