Issue with buttons on hover

  • Hi there,
I have created a couple of buttons in the header using an element. I have a global style applied to the buttons which work correctly when applied to other buttons on the site but just not the two in the header (via the element). In this case, the buttons stay exactly the same on hover.

However, when I mouse over the button size increases for both buttons in the header. You can see the buttons in the header of the link below.

So, it would seem that the buttons in the header are somehow being affected by some other setting (in the customizer?). If so, how do i change this setting to ensure the button sizes stay the same of the global style overrides the customiser settings?

    Thanks.

  • Hi there,

This seems to be a CSS specificity issue. Could you try removing the color of the “Link Initial Color” and “Hover Color” under Customize > Colors > Header?

  • Hi, those fields have no colors defined.

  • The button in the header uses a different global style compared to the other buttons on the site. You’ve set the global style to increase the font size when hovered over the header button.

I’m not entirely sure I understand the issue. Are you looking to remove the hover effect?
