Hi, we had a client change their email marketing system and we had to remove inline sign-up code from their old system from the header on 3 websites. The theme is Generate Press-Child, lifetime license. We’ve been trying to figure out ways to fill the space.
We decided to utilize buttons to 3 landing pages and social media icons instead in the header, but the buttons are not justified in a way that makes sense.
On one of the sites the button text color isn’t updating, despite it looking the way it should when we edit it. As soon as we hit ‘publish’ it goes back to the way we don’t want it to look.
We’re also having difficulties adding an additional social media icon (TikTok).
Is there someone from GeneratePress that can help us troubleshoot the issues we’re running into?

Hi there,
On one of the sites the button text color isn’t updating, despite it looking the way it should when we edit it.
The button color seems to be set to base-3 which is white, what color is it supposed to be?
https://app.screencast.com/fnZaq2LkCYrjXWe’re also having difficulties adding an additional social media icon (TikTok).
Please note that we don’t have control over the WP core blocks, including the button block and social icons block.
Do you have the GenerateBlocks plugin installed? If so, please try switching to GB’s button block, and use GB Container block for the layout. We will be happy to assist.
Or if you can let me know what kind of layout you are trying to achieve, I can write custom CSS to achieve that.

Hi Ying, thank you for your response! We are not using the GenerateBlocks plugin; the sites were not built in that way. We are using the customize section on the theme, but that is giving us difficulties adjusting these and on one of the sites seems broken. Mobile and desktop also look different, and mobile looks slightly clunkier
We are working on problem-solving this still and would greatly appreciate your support with custom CSS code to achieve our goals.
The color is supposed to be #3A3A3A, the same as the other two buttons on the site.
Is it possible to email about this to discuss the additional details for the 3 sites?

Hi there,
the front end HTML of the “Stay in Loop” button has a color class attached; which is where the white colour is coming from.
That class should match whatever color was chosen in the editor button settings.
If thats not the case, can you try deleting the button block and re-adding it ?
