Link on “List of terms”

  • Hi,
when I click on it I am redirected to a category although I would like to decide on the destination URL. It’s possible ?

You can see the photo :

    thanks

  • Hi there,

That’s not possible unfortunately. The list of terms are supposed to link to their category archives.

If you want to use static links then you cannot use the dynamic feature and would basically need to build everything manually.

Let me know if this makes sense.

  • ok thanks for your feedback
My site is designed with pages and in each page there are several posts
Every time I put a new post online, it goes out on the home page. I would like that when this post comes from the “France” page there is a “France” tag on this article which also appears on the home page automatically. Same when it comes from the “Europe” page I would like there to be a Europe tag. Is it possible to do this automatically?

  • I simply do this so that an Internet user who arrives on the home page knows which page the post comes from…if you have any ideas, I’m interested…

Not sure if I fully understand. Are France and Europe both WordPress categories?

  • I have no category. I just use pages and posts.
    https://drole-de-voyage.fr/

I have 5 pages : France, Europe, Reste du monde, Conseils and Autour du monde

In each page, I will put posts.

Exemple : if you go on the “France” page, there are 3 posts

On the first post (z Exploring the beaches in Brazil) there is “uncategorized” on the photo
I would like “france”. Is it possible when I add a post in France, the word “france” appeared on the photo instead of “uncategorized” ?

That’s exactly what WP category archives are for – the archive displays the posts under a certain category.
I would recommend making France, Europe, Reste du monde, Conseils and Autour du monde categories so you can utilize the category archives.

You would need to make France a category and attach to the post to use the dynamic feature. Or else you would have to build everything manually.

  • but if I make a category “France”, I will have this URL :
    https://drole-de-voyage.fr/category/france/

and I want this URL :
    https://drole-de-voyage.fr/france/

    It’s possible ?

  • I believe you would need to tweak the WP permalink settings: https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/settings-permalinks-screen/

  • it is ok but I don’t understand why my photo on my home page has disappeared :
    https://www.weekenda.fr/3.jpg

    exemple : https://drole-de-voyage.fr/autour-du-voyage/

  • Please open a new topic for the unrelated question.

    Thanks!

  • Thanks 🙂
