Local font manager– FOUT issue

  • Hi folks!
I have done some research and I just can’t seem to fix the issue.

I’ve abandoned the google font api and used the GP font manager and installed google fonts locally. Since doing that, I’m getting about .5-1sec flash of generic serifed fonts before the correct ones are rendered.

I’ve tried toggling the settings in the font manager (optional, fallback, etc) but nothing seems to work.

Not experienced in this, so if you could please give me a simple step-by-step way to fix it (a script that loads the fonts?) I’d appreciate it!

  • Hi there,

Have you tried setting the Font Display option to auto?

  • Hi Alvind,

Yeah I’ve just tried auto again and it’s still not rendering right away. Looks terrible.

For some reason, firefox looks okay, but chrome and brave have issues. I cleared the cache on firefox and opened in a private window. same with chrome and brave.

    any ideas?

    Thanks
