Hi, I inserted the code provided by Mailchimp on three GP websites (pilatesroma.it, yogapilates.it and pilatescagliari.it) in order to show a pop up for collecting newsletter subscriptions; I used the wp_head hook element on all sites, and tried also with WP code light additional plugin on one of these sites (pilatesroma.it, where I also deactivated security and caching pligin) but the connection always doesn’t work. Please can you give a look at my settings and/or make a check of this external connection? I already opened a support ticktet on Mailchimp but they said it’s a website issue.
Thank you in advance -
Hi there,
We don’t have control over the connection between your site and a third-party plugin’s server, unfortunately!
To know if it’s caused by the hook element, try adding the code to a page instead of a hook element, does it work?
If so, please share your element setup, the code and the location of the element.
I already opened a support ticktet on Mailchimp but they said it’s a website issue.
This is a very irresponsible reply from a plugin support, everything could be a website issue, did you ask what exactly do they mean by “a website issue”?
Let me know 🙂

I added the code using the plugin “WP code light” but it doesn’t work; using Generatepress I don’t have direct html access to the head section where the code must be inserted.

The answer from Mailchimp doesn’t have no other explanations – it isn’t their plugin that generates the issue because I am not using a Mailchimp plugin, I am trying to insert a snippet of code in a website and it seems not possible

Hi there,
I’ve checked your three sites, and it looks like the popup is only working on yogapilates.it
Could you double-check that the same script has been correctly inserted on the other two sites as well?

Hi Alvind, the Mailchimp code is inserted in the three sites exactly in the same way

When I inspect the
<head>
section of the two sites where the popup isn’t working, I noticed that they don’t include the same script found on the site where the popup does work. We’re not entirely sure why this is happening without access to the backend—there may be differences in how or where the script is being added.

yes I know you can’t inspect now but if you want I can create admin access for you, let me know
thanks

Alvind
Sure, you can provide the access credentials in the Private Info section.

Thank you Alvind, I made an admin user with same credentials on yogapilates.it, pilatescagliari.it and pilatesroma.it.
Wait for your help 🙂

The login credentials don’t seem to be working on the site where the popup is functioning (yogapilates.it). Could you please double-check and update them?
I need access to inspect the code on that site in order to compare it with the others and help identify what’s causing the issue.
