Main Nav drop down & up speed…

  • Hi all,

    I seemed to have succeeded in getting my sub-menu to transition nicely using the below CSS, but I can’t figure out the CSS to do the same for the main menu up/down speed. Could a setting or some other CSS I have be interfering with it?

    CSS used for sub-menu transition.
    .main-navigation.toggled .main-nav ul ul {
    transition: all .4s;
    }

  • Hi Trey,

    Try this:

    .main-navigation .main-nav > ul  {
        display: block !important;
        overflow: hidden;
        transition: max-height 0.3s ease;
        max-height: 0;
    }

    div#primary-menu {
        order: 3;
        width: 100%;
    }

    .main-navigation.toggled .main-nav > ul {
        max-height: 500px;
    }

  • Thanks Ying! It has a bit of a pause as it begins to collapse. Any way to smooth that out?

  • I think it’s due to the dropdown icon, I’ve replied to you with custom CSS to fix the dropdown icon in another tpic.

    Once that is fixed, let me know if this is also fixed 🙂
