  • Hi. Working on this setup for a “before header”-hook.
    -Container (full width)
    –Inner container
    —social icons

    Wanted padding over/under, but adding any low digit (like 10) creates a much larger padding.
    What am I missing, no margins and paddings set in outer container?

  • Hi there,

    It’s because WP adds a default margin-bottom to the social block.

    Try adding this CSS to remove the default margin from the social block:

    ul.wp-block-social-links {
        margin-bottom: 0 !important;

    Adding CSS:

    Then you can add padding-top and padding-bottom to the inner container.
