MariaDB version 10.2

  • My site health says I need to update my sql.

I contacted my web host, Liquidweb, and they told me I can pick MariaDB 10.5 or 10.6.

They also said to check with my database developer (I’m not sure who that is) to confirm the new MariaDB version is compatible the the current databases since downgrades to previous versions are unsupported.

Which version do you recommend? Is this pretty standard? Or should I be concerned about any of this

  • Hi there,

10.6 is already supported by WordPress since WP version 5.8.

So if you want to update to 10.6, it should be good.
