Mega menu in GB 2.3

  • Hi,

    I developed a simple css megamenu. It’s more and more complicated CSS code and with my latest changes it’s not working anymore.

    On the site van Kyle van Deursen I saw a video about building mega menus with panels. I think this is exactly what I’m looking for. This functionality is available in version 2.3.

    I think I have the following options:
    * fix the current CSS
    * upgrade to 2.3 alpha/beta and build it right with using the new functionality
    * wait until stable

    Can you tell when version 2.3 will be available? Or is it an option tot use the latest alpha version?

    Thanks, Henk

  • Hi Henk,

    Yes, you can download the latest version in your GB or GP One account.

    It’s now at Version 2.3.0-beta.3.

  • Hi Ying,

    Thanks for your answer.
    Can you tell me when version 2.3.0 will be in production? I assume after beta.3 it will be in production?

    Thanks, Henk

  • After beta, there will be RC, then production. Not sure about the exact date, it depends on how many bug reports we received.

  • Hi Yin,

    I installed the beta-3 of GB.
    Everything I want at this moment, seems to work. It’s very nice functionality!

    Only one question at this moment, in the screenshot you can see that the mega menu panel doesn’t outline in the centre. Do you know why?

    Thanks, Henk

  • The mega menu is centred relative to its parent menu item.

    Try adding .gb-site-header to the position of the parent field, so the mega menu will align center relative to the site header.
