mixing old and new versions GP?

  • Dear supporteam,

I try to ‘rebuild’ Gerlosalpineestate.com to the latest version of GP. But I’m afraid I fail.
The new page is gerlosAlpineEsate.com/winter-2 and I do have two issues.
On the phone, the layout of the ‘Het Appartement’ section is falling over itself (while on desktop everything looks fine)

Both on desktop and on phone, the bottompart is falling over itself. On the old page (GerlosAlpineEstate.com) this footer section looks nice, on the new version it looks afwul.

Do I mix different versions of GP? And how to check that? Or am I mixing up other things.

    Please help me out.

    Thanks a lot.

    Caj

  • Hi there,

Can you select the container gb-element-809db43d, switch to mobile view, and set its position to relative, height to 500px (feel free to use other values).

For the bottom part of the page, can you remove image-background class from the 1st container of the 3 sections with text “Hoe kom je in Gerlos?” (gb-element-e4da49da) ?

You can find the class in the advanced panel.

  • Thank you Ying. I’m not quite sure I understand what I changed (example of a typical end-user) but it solved most of the problem. On the iphone the first image doesn’t show any more. That was not the intention, but is better than an image that clutters the whole page.

  • Do you want me to take a look at the first image issue?

I tried to visit your link, but it does not work at this moment.

Please check and let me know!

  • yes please.
as it is working now (except for that missing image in mobile view) I renamed my home page.
The problem is the homepage now: GerlosAlpineEstate.com.
on desktop view, an image is visible of the living room
in mobile view, it has disappeared.

I don’t know how to check what I did in settings that it is not working properly in mobile view.

    Your help is highly appreciated.

  • It’s a background image. On mobile, if the container itself does not have content or a minimum height, it will not display.

The fix is simple: select the image block, switch to mobile, and set its min-height to 200px to test. Then, you can try different values to find the one that fits best.
