Mobile block not responsive

  • Hello,

I have a reusable block on my site that is not responsive. All other containers have been responsive with no problems. It’s across all pages.

    Here is an example: https://printablesforlife.com/wide-ruled-paper/

Should I re-create he container? I’d hate to have to do it for all posts… If there is something simple that I’m missing, let me know 😀

  • I think it might be related to the GIFs. I’m not sure that they are responsive by default like regular pictures set to “auto.” If not, is there a way to make this happen?

  • Hi there,

Could you specify which block you’re referring to as not responsive? I’ve reviewed the page you shared, and from my perspective, all parts appear to be responsive.

  • It’s the “Get Printable” container. Some parts seem responsive and others don’t.

I’m not sure if I can add a screenshot here to show you what I see on my end?

  • Okay, I see it now. Could you try removing any padding that was set in the container?

  • I’m trying to remove padding and margins, but I’m having a lot of trouble with the plugin.
    Example:
    1) I cannot right-click and “select container” to select the outer elements of multiple inner containers.
    2) Colors have disappeared as an option.
    3) Even when I delete padding and margins, they are still present in light grey unless I set the margins and padding to 0, but that also affects the layout.

I’ve tried clearing the cache for my browser and the site.

Should I uninstall and reinstall the plugin?

    Any advice would be appreciated!

  • Here’s my login info if you want to take a look.

I’m also okay if you want to handle the uninstall/reinstall to make sure it’s done as cleanly as possible.

    Thanks 😀

  • The parent container is set to display:flex, can you change that to default?

  • I changed it back. You’ll see that parts are still not responsive. It also doesn’t fix me not being able to add/change colors (option is not on menu).

  • It seems responsive to me:

It also doesn’t fix me not being able to add/change colors (option is not on menu).

I’m not sure I understand the issue, the display property does not interfere with colors at all. Don’t see the connection between those two. Can you explain some more?

  • You’re right, I was able to fix the responsiveness, but I had to uninstall and reinstall the plugins and then rebuild the block entirely and update each page manually. It seems to have fixed all of the problems.

    To summarize:
    1. The container wasn’t being responsive in all areas.
    2. Upon investigation, I realized other attributes were missing (like color, margin, and padding) from the appearance menu.
    3. To fix this, I uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin, deleted the original block, and started from scratch.

Luckily, I only had about 15 posts affected.

    Thanks!

  • Glad you got it to work!
