Mobile navigation bar is pushed underneath the mobile notification bar

  • Hi,

I’m experiencing an issue with the mobile navigation/sticky header on Android devices, but only on single posts.

When visiting any recipe post (example: https://recetasconsazon.com/receta/panna-cotta-italiana/ ), the sticky header / mobile navigation bar is pushed underneath the Android status bar, so it appears partially hidden at the top of the screen.

This does not happen on the homepage or regular pages — only on posts.

I’m not sure whether the problem comes from the Element header I use at the top of each post, or from the mobile navigation bar itself.

Could you please help me understand what is causing this and how to fix it?

    Thanks!

  • Hi there,

I don’t have an Android phone to test. Can you show me a screenshot of the issue?

You can upload it to your media library and share the link with us.

    Let me know 🙂

  • Hello, thank you for your response. Of course. Here are the links

How it looks on other pages:
    Correct

How it looks on posts (wrong):
    Wrong

I’m not sure if this issue happens on all mobile systems, only in Android, or just on some Android models.

    Regards.

  • I don’t see any difference for the mobile header between other pages and the single posts code-wise.

I think it’s a specific issue with the specific model you are using, as I can not see this issue on my iPhone. And I did a simulation on a Samsung model, didn’t see the issue either. Here’s a screenshot:

I can’t think of a solution if it’s just limited to a certain model of phones, as if we change anything for the sticky header to address the issue, it will be applied to all devices, so it might cause problems on other devices.

  • Thank you. I’ll try to test it on more phone models.

Anyway, I appreciate you checking it.

    Best regards.

  • You are welcome   🙂
