mobile website super slow

    Hi there,
    our website http://www.ironlab.ca/ is super slow on mobile. We have removed most plug ins and disabled any pop up, but it is still lagging big time hurting our PPC efforts.

    is there any “check list” or process we can go through to speed up the loading? Or is there a setting where we can change what gets “loaded” on mobile?

    For example our home page has a video above the fold so is there an option for mobile to replace the video with image or not having the video so it would speed up the load?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi there,

    I don’t think there’s a way to only load the video on desktop, unfortunately! Maybe with custom JS, it’s possible.

    I saw lots of style sheets(CSS) and JavaScript from different plugins get loaded, they do drag the performance. I would recommend using a good cache plugin to combine the codes.

    And your fonts are using Google API, I would also recommend installing them locally via GP Premium’s font library.

    thank you. Would you recommend any particular cache plugin that would help to improve this “code combining”?

    For the Google API fonts could you send me some resources how to install them locally?

    There are plenty of choices for cache plugins. I’ve seen lots of users using WP Rocket and Autoptimize. For example, the Generateblocks site is using Autoptimize, while the Generatepress site does not use any cache plugin.
