Hi, I searched through several posts and couldn’t quite find an answer to this particular issue, and I am an absolute newbie with this stuff.
I’d like to have a looping video play directly under our big page hero photo which is merged with the navigation. Do I need to create a new page hero element? Does this need to be a page hero at all? A little confused how to implement this. I’ve linked to the site as is. Thank you!

Hi there,
If the video is only going to be added in one place, you don’t need to create a separate Element for it. Simply edit the page that’s set as the homepage and add the video directly there. It should automatically appear below the current page hero by default.

Thank you! I figured that was the simplest solution. I was able to successfully (I think) make a page hero with a looping video in the background and a text overlay, using the header element and following the directions on the site. I’m actually not sure how to get the same exact effect on a normal page – does the code provided here: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-hero-background-video/ -work the same as making this on a standard page (page set to homepage)?
Thanks again for the help.

Yes, the article applies to standard pages too. Just use the HTML block to insert the code.
