Ok I still need to find a way to keep the button alight with the other post’s buttons and I noticed the posts that have a custom excerpt adds a button so some have 2 buttons now.
-
Fernando
Try adding the excerpt through a GB Headline Block instead first.
Let’s tackle the alignment after this issue is addressed.
-
Justin35
Still there. I replaced the Dynamic content block that I was using in the archive card and replaced with GB Headline block and enabled dynamic data for excerpt.

Fernando
Can you disable this custom snippet title “Force Read More For Posts” in Code Snippets? If you have any other code for that, can you try disabling them first to test?
-
Justin35
That removed it. I forgot I had that Code.
-
Fernando
Great! Now, to confirm, do you want the read more button aligned at the bottom of each article?
-
Justin35
I want it centered and yea at the bottom with some padding.
-
Hi there,
You can wrap the button with a container and set the alignment in the container, here’s an example:
https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/button-alignment/#stack-non-full-width-button-blocks -
Justin35
It didn’t make the buttons aligned https://ibb.co/55sMsQp
the settings I changed https://ibb.co/0B698vJ https://ibb.co/Bw0YxD9 -
Your structure can be more simplified, there’s an unnecessary container block which needs to be removed, I’ve highlighted the container in the below screenshot.
https://www.screencast.com/t/1cVRpH7nDrag the content out from this container to its parent container, then remove this container.
-
Justin35
Having trouble pinpointing that can you mark it in this screenshot? https://ibb.co/XSJDzCv
BTW does that screenshot auto delete? -
I’ve marked it out.
https://www.screencast.com/t/7kSaX4SNp1. Drag the content in red out of that container following the red arrow.
2. Then remove the container block (yellow arrow).
Once that’s done, let me know, we still need to make some more changes π
-
Justin35
Ok that’s done
-
Great!
Now we can move on to the next step.
Check this screenshot:
https://www.screencast.com/t/79Ut9C2Fg1. Set the container in red to
display:flex
,flex-direction:column
.2. Select the container in green, and set its
margin-top
toauto
.These steps should achieve the look you want π
Let me know!
-
Justin35
It’s perfect now.
-
Glad to hear that π
