    Your support is highly appreciated,

  • Hi there,

    We haven’t received such an issue. Do you have custom JS? If not, can you try #1 here to debug:

    It’s recommended to backup your site before proceeding with this.

  • Dear Fernando,

    I don’t know if I’ve custom JS or not.

    I hope to investigate on your part as deactivating all my plugins causes problems with my site.

    I received this issue notification from Google search console.

    Your support is highly appreciated,

  • Hi there,

    if you’re using AMP with GeneratePress, you need an additional plugin , which you can get from here:

    That plugin removes the themes Javascript.

  • Hi David,

    I’ve done it, but still, this page is missing almost all its feature images.

    Your support is highly appreciated,

  • You need to speak to the AMP plugin author on how to set it up, as the plugin removes the themes templates and core functions.

  • Hi David,

    All that I want for my site is to load and work well on mobile.

    So, let me know please, could my sit works well on mobiles without using AMP plugin?
    as it’s free and I couldn’t get enough support there.

  • In the past AMP used to have two advantages:

    1. Fast Loading
    A well optimized WP site is just as fast loading without AMP.

    2. Google News Feed privileges
    Google used to prioritise AMP pages in the news feed. But this is no longer the case.

    So the 2 main reasons for using it are no longer relevant.
    If you were a news agency publishing posts on the hour then perhaps AMP still has some benefits in the feeds but i am not sure.

    For regular blogging i would not bother with AMP today.

  • I appreciate your knowledge and experience, David.

    So, I see to remove it. Do I need to remove the related plugin you provided me for that purpose too? ok,

    Now what matters most is what should I do for my site to work well on mobiles.

    Your support is highly appreciated,

  • Do I need to remove the related plugin you provided me for that purpose too? ok,

    That is correct, you can you remove that plugin too.

  • Now what matters most is what should I do for my site to work well on mobiles.

  • Hi David,

    Good news, I just wanted to share with you.

    I’ve removed the AMP plugin and my site speed is excellent thanks to the GeneratPress theme and your dedicated support.
    The screenshot will show you amazing results except for the SEO score, which I’ll continue improving.
    Your thoughts are highly appreciated!

    All the best

  • 1. Links do not have descriptive text
    Google doesn’t like the Read More text for the button it sees it as too generic:

    You can if you want change the Read More label in Customizer > Layout > Blog to something else eg. Continue Reading and that should remove that opportunity.

    2. Links are not crawlable
    those are the parent menu items in your menu as they have no link.
    You can if you want add # to their URL. And Google should ignore them.

    3. Tap targets are not sized appropriately

    Give your footer links some more space with this CSS:

    .footer-widgets a {
        line-height: 24px;
    .footer-widgets .textwidget a {
        display: inline-block;
        padding-bottom: 10px;
  • That is great David,

    I’ve changed read more to continue reading, however, it persists as it is. it still shows read more.

    Kindly, let me know where and how to put the CSS code.

    All the best,

  • Can you try clearing the caches on the site ?

    The CSS code can go in your Customizer > Additional CSS. Just add a new line at the top and Copy and Paste in the CSS.

  • Here is where I put the code.

    is there anything wrong?

    Regarding the continue reading button. I cleared the cache but the issue is still as it is.
