Hello,
with the old headline block simpletoc registers automatically the html anchor. In the new headline block is no field for the html anchor and the navigation via the table of content plugin is no more possible. Is this intentional or is it a bug? Is a workaround available and/or will it be fixed?

Do you mean you want to add an ID to the new headline block? if so, yes, there is the option in the settings panel > advanced.

OK, I understand that html anchor and id are the same thing, only the field name changed. But this is not the problem and it is not a solution (would mean to insert all titles manually in the ID field with the risk of typos and the need to double check everything). While simpletoc automatically entered the ID in the old headline block, this does not happen with the new text-headline block.
With the old GB headline block, Rankmath did not recognize the headline but Simpletoc did. Now, with the new block, even Simpletoc does no more fully work. -

Hi there,
This is something we can’t control, as it’s likely that SimpleToC hasn’t updated their plugin for compatibility with GenerateBlocks version 2. Have you reached out to them about this issue yet?

Hello,
there is a pull request on Github and a new Simpletoc version was released to address the problem. However, it still does not work. Maybe you can take a look? -
Sorry, but it’s not our plugin; we can not modify their code in any way.

Ok, I already once had to change a Table of content plugin on my whole site. Years ago I made a feature request for a TOC in GB and it was said, it is not necessary. Now you say, you change the code and if TOC plugins do no more work with Generateblocks, it is not your business.
Maybe you can suggest which TOC plugins is compatible with GB 2.0, even if at this point it is not secure that it will be compatible with the next major release of GB. -
Sorry, but this is the reality, we can’t consider the compatibility with all other plugins when updating our plugin.
