Hello!
I just started migrating my sites over to the latest versions of GenerateBlocks, however I’m running into issues as I try to build out new pages on websites. I’ve tried looking over the documentation and official support channels but I’m not finding anything. The latest version looks like a cool update but it is currently unusable to me, as I can’t figure out the new ways to activate foundational features.
I’ve confirmed that I have the free and premium versions of the plugin installed and running on my WordPress server. I’ve check to see if I need to enable modules on GenerateBlocks premium (like GeneratePress) but I’m not finding anything.
Here are some of my questions for the new version of GenerateBlocks:
1. How do I access the Flexbox Alignment Matrix system? The button on the toolbar is gone and I’m having trouble getting certain functionality working without it.
2. How do I add icons to buttons? I can’t find any option inside the sidebar to do so anymore. I at first thought maybe I should use the shape block, but can’t get it into the button.
3. How do I add links to containers? The button has disappeared from the toolbar and I can’t find an option anywhere.
4. How do I add shapes to containers now? It seems to have something to do with the shape block, but I can’t figure it out. Thanks for your help! I’ll let you know if I run into any other issues.

Hi there,
The documentation for the new version is available here:
https://learn.generatepress.com1. How do I access the Flexbox Alignment Matrix system?
The flexbox alignment matrix has been removed in GB 2.0 since we have added support for CSS Grid for the container block. Therefore, you need to use the Layout settings, set Display: Flex, and adjust your preferred alignment. The flexbox alignment matrix was essentially just a shortcut for this setting; the functionality remains the same.
2. How do I add icons to buttons?
4. How do I add shapes to containers now?You can refer to this article:
https://learn.generatepress.com/blocks/block-guide/svg-shapes-icons/#adding-and-styling-icons-and-shapes3. How do I add links to containers?
There is a different way to add container links now. Refer here:
https://learn.generatepress.com/blocks/block-guide/add-container-links/I understand these changes might feel overwhelming. If you’re not ready to fully switch to V2, you can revert to V1 blocks. Check out this article for guidance:
