Overlapping “Title” in editor

  • Hi, I am not sure what the problem is but my “Title” overlaps only in the editor.

It displays correctly on the website but only overlaps in the editor.

I have tried to deactivate plugins one after the other, but it persists.

This is the link to how it looks like: https://imgur.com/a/rgTPknm

    I’d appreciate your help.

    Regards.

  • hi there,

Can you go to customizer > typography check the line-height setting for the h1 title?

If the line-height is smaller than 1em, it would cause the overlapping.

Let me know if this helps!

  • Dear Ying,
Bless your heart. I am so grateful. It has been fixed. I spent many hours trying to figure it out. I cannot thank you enough.

What is the best “em” for the h1 title?

    Thanks again.

  • Glad to hear that!

em is a relative length unit, relative to the font-size of the element (2em means 2 times the size of the current font).

Usually I would go 1.1em or 1.2em, it depends on your design 🙂

  • Many thanks. I’d go with your recommendations. I appreciate the help again.

  • You are welcome   🙂
