Hi support team.
I’ve created a taxonomy archive using AnyWhere Elementor and auto apply this template to my taxonomy type “tax-pinentry-kind”. It works fine, but:
The background of the taxonomy archive is not my normal content background. The width of the content container is also too large.
– Normal Page:
– page color gray
– container color very light gray
– container width 1400– Archive Page:
– page color gray
– container color gray (!)
– container width 2545 (!)How can I force that archive pages look like normal pages?

Hi Lutz,
Since the archive template is built and applied through AnywhereElementor, the layout you’re seeing (background color and container width) is coming from Elementor’s template settings, not GeneratePress. That’s why it doesn’t match your normal pages — GP’s content background and container width settings aren’t controlling that template.
You’ll want to adjust the section/container background and width inside the Elementor template itself so it matches your normal pages (content background very light gray, width 1400). This falls outside what we can support directly, so I’d recommend checking AnywhereElementor’s documentation or reaching out to their support for the specific settings.
If you’d prefer to build the taxonomy archive with GeneratePress instead, GP Premium’s Block Element (Content Template type) with a display rule for your taxonomy would let you control everything through GP and inherit your normal styling.

Ok, I understand this and will try tor implement my taxonomy archive with GeneratePress instead.I’ve created an element, type “Layout” and added a display rule that this layout will be applied to my taxonomy archive. Configuring sidebars and containers works well now – but:
How can I design the archive page? The archive page now has the correct sidebar and container – but only a kind of “default layout”.

To create a template archive, you would need to create a content template or a loop template element.

are the Content Template and the Loop Template parts of GeneratePress or only of GenerateBlocks?
I have GeneratePress Version 3.6.1 and GP Premium 2.5.6 – I don’t use Generate Blocks.I only see the Element Types: Block, Hook, Layout, Kopfbereich when creating a new element type.
I want to create an taxonomy archive and design it with Elementor – not with the Gutenberg Block Editor.

Hi there,
Content Template and Loop Template are features of GP Premium’s Elements module, not GenerateBlocks. Both are included in your GP Premium 2.5.6 version.
However, GP Premium’s Content and Loop Templates cannot be designed with Elementor. If you want to build the taxonomy archive entirely with Elementor, you would normally need Elementor Pro’s Theme Builder.
