Hi,
When I started using GeneratePress 2 months ago, I kind of moved everything from my old template to GeneratePress and the Page/Post Width came together.
Generate Press has so many wonderful capabilities and resources that now I see my Posts and Pages are not really optimized for responsiveness as I have a fixed page/post Width. When I look at them, there is a huge margin on the right and left (I am sending the site URL in this post).
I could increase the Content area but I am wondering if there is a feature/setup that I could leave like “blank” and GP would increase or reduce the Page/Post Width by itself.
Tks

Hi there,
I believe the Content Width option with a Layout Element would be what you are looking for:

Hi Leo,
Cool !! So, what I need to do is to open a Post, Go Down in the right menu, find “Active Elements” (Site Footer, Single Post Navigation, Narrow Single Post, etc) and change one by one inside the Layout Element right ?

Hmm not quite.
Take a look at this section of the video for a demonstration of when and how the Content width option is used:
I’d recommend watching the entire video if you haven’t already.

Hi Leo,
I just watch the video, and I tried two of those approaches.
1) I tried to go to Customize, Layout, and Container, and I tried to move the “Container Width” slider but nothing changed. I believe this is because my Posts are not using Containers, at least the old ones that I bring from the previous Template. It worked for the Main Page but not Posts.
2) I tried to create a new Element called “Full-width post”, type Layout, Content=Full width and Display Rules=Posts . I Published and tried to open the Post and the width is still the same.
Do you have some other suggestion?

Can you clear and disable your caching plugin first?
The container of the linked post

should definitely adjust with the customizer setting.Let me know π
