Parallax on column background image

  • Stéphane Bergeron

    Hi!

I’ve been trying to add parallax to grid column (or any container) background images using the code in the below thread:

    https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/can-only-apple-parallax-effect-to-one-gneratepress-container-at-a-time/

But that code moves the entire container and not just the background image so it’s not usable as is. Is there a newer way to do this that I’m not aware of?

    Thanks!

  • Hi @pixelyzed,

Can you share the link to where you have this implemented? We’ll try to see what’s going on.

You may use the Private Information field to share the link to your site if you want.

    Hi,

I put the link in the Private Information field.

FWIW, the theme there is Astra which I had tried for this project (and am now regretting 😉 and this was the last project I used Elementor on too. I’m trying to redo that home page with GenerateBlocks instead of Elementor and I will also replace Astra with GeneratePress eventually.

As you see, the entire column container is moved insead of the background image being moved within the column “viewport”.

    Thanks!
