Dear Team,
I’m considering using GP and GPB again for a new project. Within that project I’d like to use two style elements:- full screen menu in mobile and desktop, both including an extra field for important information
- a specific part of the page should scroll horizontally instead of vertically
both of these effects can be viewed in an example page (private information), they work in mobile as well as in desktop.
Will I be able to implement these elements with GP and/or GPB?
Thanks! -
Hi there,
1. The menu can be built with off canvas menu, plus a block element – hook (
after_slideout_navigation) and some CSS.2. The horizontal scroll requires custom JS, unforutnaly it’s not something can be done out of the box.

Hello Ying,
I just went to gp one and want to start converting a style, built with bricks builder. Could you please give me some more insight on the following tasks (example-page in private information). The horizontal scrolling part (my fist message) will be dumped as I’d rather use gp than bricks…
- Menu style (both menu bar and full screen menu).
- Full Screen menu including the brown/goldish Highlight button
- If you scroll down, there’s a section called “Strafverteidigung mit Klarheit”. That section is a menu itself and the four main parts as well as the second column on the right (containing paragraphs) need to be accessible for SEO, even when they are not selected. How can I get to that with gp?
- finally: on the bottom right, you’ll find the sticky “Kontakt”-Button. It has no functionality yet, though I’d like it to pen some kind of floating contact area (comparable with the full screen menu).
I’d be glad if you could give me some specific information and maybe some links on that for the beginning.
Thanks!

Great, if you have GP One, it will be a different approach.
1. You can use a block element – site header with GB Pro’s site header block to create the site header.
2. The menu can be created by a GB Pro overlay panel (standard, triggered by clicking the hamburger icon in. your custom site header).
3. You can use a tabs block. I’m not an expert in SEO, so the SEO part you will figure out yourself or consult an SEO expert.
4. The same as #2, you can use this button to trigger a standard overlay panel, and add your contact form into the panel.

All right, thank you for your quick response!
Regarding 2.: I did build a header, including the navigation block. That leads to an already existing full screen menu. Do I need to add another individual “overlay panel” to make that work? I don’t yet understand the relationship between the overlay and the navigation blocks.Regarding 1.: All right, got that.
Regarding 3.: All right, I’ll do so.
Regarding 4.: Ill try and get back to you if I don’t get it. -
Regarding 2, I don’t think you need to have a navigation block in the site header, you just need a button with menu text and the hamburger icon as the trigger to open the overlay panel.
