I have considerable problems with every single pattern that I insert on a page. It’s always about the spacing, which is far too large.
On the following page, I have deleted all the spacing from all the containers in the two testimonials (with the stars, almost at the bottom of the page). It looks good on the desktop. But on tablet and mobile, there are again large gaps at the top and bottom, and I don’t know where they come from.
I’m going mad. How can I set the spacing to be the same as on the desktop view?
I can’t understand why every pattern comes with such complicated spacing settings. I don’t even want to use patterns anymore because they make more work for me than if I were to create the respective element myself.

Hi there,
Those elements are using the
gbp-card
Global Style. If you select the block, you’ll see the
gbp-card
style applied at the top of the block settings. If you click that, it will take you to the Global Style. This is where you can adjust the padding values on desktop and tablet (or any other device). Our Patterns use Global Styles so that you can make these small adjustments, and they will remain consistent throughout the rest of your website as you continue to use patterns. The alternative would be if every pattern had local styles, and you would have to make the same changes over and over again as you built your website.
Another good thing about Global Styles is that if you change your mind and want there to be more padding (just as an example), you can change it in one place and the change will take effect across your entire site if elements are using that same style.
Let us know if you need more info 🙂
