Query Loop formatting

  • 1. if you do not set any font-size at the block level, it will load the font-size you set for body, the setting is at customzier > typography.

I fully understand this. However when I select the container that the Query loop is in on the blog post, and attempt to chagne the font size nothing happens, this is why I had to ask. Can you advise?

However, you did set font-size at the headline block level, you’ve set it to 1rem, so it will override the theme’s body font-size.

And the excerpt headline does NOT have a margin-bottom as you are using div tag, not p tag. div tag does not have default margin-bottom, while p tag does. Ok – I did learn that after my last message 😉

    2. You mean the white background of the 3 individual posts? If so, select the post template container of the query loop block, you can change its background color in the Colors panel.

Ok I added the query loop directly to the home page, where I want to display the last 3 consective posts, it’s not mean to be on the individual post. So before you reply I have tried every single way to change the background color. I’m selecting the container that is holding each queary loop, there are 3. Nothing happens. I chose red and a little red bar shows up at the bottom, indicating a little extra space below the dynamic information. Can you advise further based on these details?

    3. Not sure what you mean by fixed. Do you mean you want the 3 posts to be the same height?

Yes I would like the 3 posts (populated via the query loop on my homepage) to be the same size. If you look at the link I sent you they vary in size.

I’ve started this reply in a new topic.

    Thank you,

  • Well I tried to start a new topic but it didn’t work – sorry.

As I said, you’ve set the font-size at the headline block level, it can override the font-size you set for its ancestor containers, hope that is clear!

Not sure what this means, however, your topic can only be understood by me, when I’m off, I don’t think my colleagues would understand it. You might want to format your topic a bit to help my colleagues to understand the questions better.

For questions 2 and 3, can you link me to your homepage again?
