Set up default padding and margins – desktop / Tablet / Mobile

  • Hi,
Is there a ‘best-practice’ for setting up padding and margins for pages using the container block? not on a per page level, but on a site level.
For example, when on Tablet, I would like to have 20px of left and right padding, when on mobile 30px left and right padding.
Is there an layout element that we can use for this?
The padding would be applied to the content itself, so that on full width containers with a background color or image, there would be no padding applied to the container, just to the content inside the container.

    Thanks!
    Dan

  • Hi Dan,

A Layout Element has no settings to affect a Container Block.

What you can do is create a Global Style instead. Reference: https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/global-styles/
