How do I get the header/menu to be the same width as the content underneath it, so there would be a white space the same width as the content on the left and right, while no space above?

Try adding this through Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS:
header.site-header { margin: 0 17px; } -

Another question. The length of the sidebar changes because in the two places with widgets for advertisements, there are two different sizes of ads and they rotate in both places. The ads are either 300 or 600 pixels long. That works fine, but it means the length of the pages change.
Is there a way for the footer to be stuck to the bottom of the pages instead of changing depending on the length of the sidebar?
