Site Header Merge on Specific Pages

  • Hi,

I just transitioned to using the new block element for creating my site’s header and I noticed the old merge function is not working any longer.
I used to have it setup so that the header merges with the content on certain pages (set on display rules on the merge element) and also for the header to use a transparent background on those pages.

After setting up the header using the new block element, the merge function stopped working.

    example is my homepage svpremier.com

How can I accomplish this with the new system?

    Thanks!

It still works, but it’s visually not because you’ve set a dark gray background color for the site header block. Remove the background color you should see that the header is still merging with the content.

However, you do not need to use the header element to merge anymore; this can be set in the custom site header element at the block level.

    You can:

    1. Disable the header element with the merge function.
    2. Select the site header block in your custom site header element, set its position to absolute, inset > top/right/left all to 0, z-index to 100.

But I only want to merge header and have a transparent background on specific pages not the whole site.

How would i go about doing that with this new system?

Oh right, in this case, yes, you can still use the header element. Your homepage’s header and content are merged.

Or you create a condition for the site header with absolute position.

You can have 2 site header blocks in the element, apply the condition to display on certain pages to the site header block with an absolute position, and apply the same condition to the other site header block, but tick the Invert condition box.
