Skip-Lazy My Featured Image

  • Hello,

How do I edit my theme to add “skip-lazy” to all my featured images in Additional CSS classes?

I tried it, but can you please check if I’ve done it correctly. In my HERO-SECTION element, I have set the featured image to appear at the beginning on my blog posts. I added additional CSS skip-lazy. Then I excluded lazy load in WP-Rocket for additional CSS skip-lazy.

https://imgur.com/7Pm2DGh – The pink photo (that is featured image for all my blog posts) is what I am trying to disable lazy-load

However, I am not sure if I implemented this correctly.

    Thank you.

  • Hi there,

i went to this posts: /rate-my-pectus/
And i can see the skip-lazy class and none of the lazyloading attributes that WP Rocket would add. So it looks to be working.

  • Thank you for the quick reply David.

So the skip-lazy class works only for the Featured Image (The pink big image at the beginning of the article)? The other images in the article need to lazy load.

    Thank you!
    Mihail.

  • I only see the skip-lazy class on the single post featured images.
And that does not affect the other images in the post content / widget areas, those are still lazy loaded.

  • Great, thank you very much David.

    Have a great day!

  • You’re welcome and you too !
