Hi GeneratePress team,
After updating GP Premium to version 2.5.5, my dropdown submenu is suddenly displaying in a grid layout instead of the normal vertical list.
What’s happening:My submenu items under “Menu” are now displayed side-by-side in multiple columns
Before the update, they displayed normally as a vertical dropdown list
When I deactivate GP Premium, the submenu works correctly again (normal vertical dropdown)
When I reactivate GP Premium 2.5.5, the grid layout returnsWhat I’ve checked:
Layout → Primary Navigation settings in the Customizer – no grid or column options visible
Menu settings in the WordPress menu editor – everything looks normal
No custom CSS that would cause thisMy setup:
Theme: GeneratePress
GP Premium: Version 2.5.5 (issue appeared after updating from previous version)
The menu in question is assigned to “Primary Navigation”Could you please help me resolve this? It seems like the update introduced automatic grid styling to submenus that wasn’t there before.
Thank you! -
Hi there,
The CSS of the menu looks normal. Can you try disablling your cache plugin to test?
I can not log in to your site, as when I use wp-admin, it says contact the admin and would not show the login page.
Let me know 🙂

Hey Ying,
Excuse me. I have adjusted the login page but you should be able to login now!
-
I can not log in due to Invalid username or password.
I tried twice, as it will lock me out if I try 3rd time.
Can you check the password and username?

Excuse me, i don’t know why it happened but now you can login correctly

The issue is caused by a global style you created
menu-item.
https://app.screencast.com/TwfIrj07d2l2KThis global style overrides the menu item styles in the navigation. You will need to change the global style class.
