Supernova Blog Page Layout

  • Hi

I’ve just started building a new site with Supernova.

The default for blog posts seems to be a page without a sidebar option. Is it possible to have the option for a sidebar on some posts?

I can’t see how this would be possible at the moment

    Thanks
    Sean

  • Hi Sean,

The easiest approach, without making too many changes to the existing layout would be to create a new Content Template Element for the posts where you want a sidebar. This wouldn’t be the default WordPress sidebar, it would simply be an additional column within the template layout that functions as a sidebar area.

You can then assign this Element only to the specific posts where you want the sidebar to appear. As a starting point, you could duplicate the existing Single Post Content Element layout and modify it from there.

Let me know if you need help setting that up.

  • Thanks Alvind, got this to work OK

  • Glad to hear that!
