Tab trigger outside of tab block

  • Hello,

is there a way to open a tab with a button/link that’s not inside the tab block?

  • Hi there,

if the Button links HREF is the same the same as the HTML anchor of the Tab Item then it will open it.

eg. Button link = #my-tab and the Tab Item has an Advanced > HTTML Anchor of my-tab

  • Thanks, but the behavior is a bit weird.

I don’t need Tab Buttons for this, but if I remove or hide them (with the Block Visibility plugin), links with HREFS no longer work.

Also, unlike Tab Buttons, links with ID HREFS make a website scroll up to the ID, which is not what I want πŸ™‚

  • I don’t quite picture what you want, can I see the actual case on your site?

    Let me know πŸ™‚

  • Sure.

It’s a bit messy atm, but there are two addresses on the left that I want to use instead of Tab Buttons.

  • I see, it seems working quite well.

So all you need to do is to hide the tab buttons, right?

If so, select the tab buttons container, go to the advanced panel, toggle all three options of hide on desktop, hide on tablet and hide on mobile.

  • That worked, thanks. When I did it with the Block Visibility plugin, it didn’t work anymore.

Can I disable scroll up to the ID somehow?

  • That will require custom javascript.

I don’t think scrolling to the map has anything wrong, it looks good to me.

  • I see.

Well, thanks for your time πŸ™‚

  • No Problem πŸ™‚
