What is the best way to implement a “Tell a Friend” feature on my website. I want users to be able to write a personal message to whomever they want by clicking on a button or a link.

I’m not entirely sure about the feature you’re referring to. Could you share an example of what you mean?
From what I can tell, it might require a custom-built solution or possibly a dedicated plugin.

I am looking for a feature allowing people to send emails from within my website. This is a classic, but I do not want an oversized plugin like Fluentforms and the likes to do it.

Do you mean something like social share? Share your link via social media or email?
If so, you will need to use a dedicated plugin or custom development.

I mean sending an email. I did not think about using a social sharing plugin for this, but I might be able to add a specific link for it in the middle of a text, which is what I am looking for.
