This block has found an error and can not be previsualized

  • This error has been displayed in my site alisiosbcn.com i detectet it has to be with Generate Blocks Pro, and i updated GeneratePress and now I’m unable to edit my page.
This error is displayed: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 86016 bytes) in /home/alisiosbcn.com/rtrswermgr/public_html/wp-includes/class-wpdb.php on line 2316

PD: i’m using a staging version of the web.

  • Hi there,

the error is related to the PHP memory limit in the site.
Ask your host to increase that Limit.

  • Having the latest versions of Generate Blocks, Generate Blocks Pro and Generate Press, i still have the previsualitzation problem.
I have tried to deactivate other plugins but it still doesn’t work. Only when I deactivate Generate Blocks Pro.

  • I deactivated all the plugins and it still not working.

  • Can you share the login URL for the site ?

  • In your server settings ( under Tools > Site Health -> Info –> Server ) you have 256m Límite de memoria PHP
Can you increase this to a minimum of 512m ( I would recommend a min of 768m ).
You will want at least that particularly for a Woocommerce site.

    Then let me know.

  • David,

I had the same error message:
This block has found an error and can not be previsualized

I came across this support topic, and as I have a Cloudways account as well I increased the php memory limit to 768. I still had the same problem.
The only time I could get the block to display is when I disabled GenerateBlocks Pro. Then the blocks appeared in the admin section when editing a page.
Re-Activating the plugin resulted in the same failure.

I decided to take a gamble and installed the GenerateBlock Pro 2.0 Beta Version.
    The problem has now disappeared.

I have a feeling that it may be related to the WordPress 6.7.1 upgrade but I am not 100% sure as I haven’t had the need t edit any pages for a couple of weeks.

    Hope this helps.
