Title is Not Displaying On Post

  • The Title for each of my posts is not displayed at the head of the post.

  • Hi there,

    whilst logged in and viewing the posts, check in the Admin Bar > Elements . Is there a Layout Element in there ?

    If so can you select and edit that, and makes sure the Content title is not checked in the Disable Elements tab.

  • Thanks, David.
    I’m not sure what you mean by “viewing posts”? What option do I access from the dashboard? How do I get to the Admin Bar?

    Thanks
    Trevor

  • Hi Trevor,

    Open the link you shared or any other post, then, you should see a bar like this: https://share.getcloudapp.com/GGu54b1q

    Can you check what Elements are there and if there is a Layout Element?

  • Thanks, Fernando.
    There are 4 Elements as follows:

    1) WPSP Open Wrapper (Hook)
    2) WPSP Close Wrapper (Hook)
    3) Single Post Header
    4) Custom Post Navigation (Hook)

    There is no Layout Element.
    Any idea as to how I set up such an element?

    Thanks,
    Trevor.

  • I see. You shouldn’t need to create a Layout Element.

    The issue may be because of the “Single Post Header”. Can you check that and see if there’s any setting there causing the titles not to display?

    If you’re not able to see anything there, let us know, and we can check the site for you. Please share admin login credentials through the Private Information field if so.

  • Thanks, Fernando.
    I cannot see any setting there causing the titles not to display.

    I have added my admin login credentials through the Private Information field.

    Please see if you can sort things out.

    Thanks
    Trevor

  • In Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS, you have this code:

    .page-hero {
        display:none;
    }

    It’s hiding your Page Hero where you have the Title added. Try removing that custom CSS and see how it goes.

  • Thanks, Fernando.
    It sort of worked.
    The title displayed along with Author, Date and Category but together with the featured image which is not what I want.
    See the following image:

  • What kind of layout are you looking for?

    Is it possible to provide a mockup or example?

    Let me know 🙂

  • All I want is the Title to appear at the top of the post.
    Here’s what it looks like in the WordPress Editor but isn’t displaying when published.
    null

  • In that case, you just need to remove the header element called Single post at Appearance > Elements.

  • Fantastic.
    Thanks, Ying.
    Removing the header element called Single post at Appearance > Elements worked a treat. The title is now displayed on my posts.
    You have no idea how much angst this issue has caused me. I’m extremely grateful for its resolution.

    Regards,
    Trevor.

  • You are very welcome Trevor 🙂
